The Otago Technology Innovation Challange (OTIC) 2009 - Sponsorship needed
For the past two years the Department of Information Science (my workplace) has run an excellent event called the Otago Technology Innovation Challenge (OTIC). Each year, secondary school kids from a number of schools in the region spend the day with passionate and knowledgable staff exploring new innovations in digital technologies.
This year we would like to run it in both Dunedin and Wellington.
To do this, we require contributions from relevant sponsors to provide prizes, give discounts on services, help cover costs or even participate on the day. This is a worthy exercise to get kids excited about digital technologies and ICT in the hope they see these as key aspects of their future lives and careers.
