MySpace hires sales folk in NZ
MySpace have hired APN Digital Media to manage its local marketing and PR in New Zealand according to ComputerWorld. The (short) article also cites a NZ Herald article claiming that Bebo is the most popular social networking service in New Zealand.Apparently Bebo had 768,000 unique visitors compared with 194,000 for MySpace. Interestingly enough Facebook comes in 4th after another service provided by TradeMe - OldFriends, with 113,000. Note that while none of these numbers are especially impressive, Bebo (at least anecdotally) seems to be the front-runner among my first-year students.
