Under the hood

As interesting as the tweets about what I’m doing are, they don’t seem to fit this site particularly well. Now if I had personal blog that used the domain http://andrewlong.com then no problems - I could talk about myself and my world as often as I liked (another Andrew Long is already doing this).

Fortunately I can’t think of anything more dull so that ain’t happening anytime soon.

To get the ball rolling for 2008 I decided to tumble about some of the services the Station uses to keep it running at optimum efficiency.

Here’s a list of them:

  1. Tumblr
  2. Feedburner
  3. Ma.gnolia
  4. Google analytics
  5. Disqus
  6. Swiki
  7. Creative Commons
  8. Feedjit
  9. GoDaddy
  10. Mybloglog

I plan to discuss each in more detail in coming weeks. My intention would be to talk about what value I get out of using the service, what I enjoy about the experience and anything else that might be remotely interesting. The hope would be that readers may discover something new that they can employ for their own devices.

A rocket engine
