Neglect
I feel bad for the Station as I’ve neglected it a bit recently which means I’ve neglected you too patient readers. Please note however, that it’s been for a good cause - another tumblelog!
Which means another tumblelog on tumblr (which I love). Tumblr is the engine and superstructure behind the Social Space Station and now it’s doing the same again as I document the renovations on my house.
Naturally this is not at all interesting to most people but it is (apparently) to those that know me, my family and/or the house. The project is significant and a long time coming, so documenting the progress on a tumblelog has been satisfying and fun.
The tumblelog is simply called “Bay Renovations” which you can see here. I pretty much only upload images, some video and show the current status of the project using Twitter (where the latest tweet is displayed in the banner). Feel free to check it out during a moment of procrastination from some other tedious task.

But as it’s also time consuming, I haven’t kept up with my writing here. One small consolation is that I have been thinking about the design (or superstructure) of the Station.
What I plan to do is setup another tumblelog, work on the design where I intend to borrow some ideas from Bill Israel’s tumblelog - Cubicle17 (thanks Bill) and then implement on the real Station tumblelog when I’m happy and it works.
And I know I said that I was going to write about the various services used to keep the Station running and I still intend to; the cool thing is that I reused most of them again for the new tumblelog.
So there.
