The Social Space Station gets an “A”
The Social Space Station has been graded in terms of how well it succeeds as Website thanks to a free reporting service at Websitegrader.com. The station received 85 ot of 100 which is an “A” in my books.
Personally I was surprised considering the lack of interest in the station (although that’s changing).
Here’s how Websitegrader.com work it out according to their information (taken from the top of the report) -
The algorithm uses a proprietary blend of over 50 different variables, including search engine data, website structure, approximate traffic, site performance, and others.
The Social Space Station was good with metadata, number of headings, readability (secondary school level - I think that’s okay?), domain name duration, and a bunch of other things. It’s not so good with directory listings, too many images and has a big fat zero with Google PageRank.

Now this kind of evaluation in terms of search engine optimisation (SEO) typically costs and as I’m not going to pay for the privilege, I can’t verify the accuracy of the report. However, you can make up your own minds if you like by checking out the report itself.
