Kiwi start-up targets global social networking market →

Here’s an article from ComputerWorld New Zealand discussing a new social networking startup based in New Zealand. The aim is to take on MySpace and Facebook (join the queue) by targeting “young to middle-aged professionals”, which explains the rather patronising tagline “Social Networking for Grownups”.

It’s called iYomu and proposed services include “online storage, photo-sharing, email and networking” presented in a user friendly way. Revenue will be derived from users paying for additional online storage for music, documents, etc. The Website is still in beta.

Watch out Bebo!
