Otago Technology Innovation Challenge 2007 →
This interesting challenge is open to year 13 students at Dunedin (New Zealand) schools. They are presented with a new technology in which they must compete to come up with a new use for.
This is a great idea and in my experience secondary school students bring a lot of energy and creativity to exercises like this. It will nice to see what innovations they come up with.
There are 9 schools competing and each will document their experiences on their personal tumblogs (follow this Technorati link to check out their progress).
Declaration: Okay, I’ll come clean - this event is being hosted by my Department and a friend of mine is running the show. Regardless I believe this a worthy event to publicise.
