Displaying RSS feeds and blogs on Myspace →
I needed to find a nice way to display this tumblelog on other services that I also belong to because I don’t really want to have to write more stuff. So, from the many options to choose from, I went with an elegant service called SpringWidgets.
Basically, I needed a widget that used the RSS feed from this site to produce a dynamic blog elsewhere, such as on MySpace or Facebook.
SpringWidgets provide a free ExpressWidget facility that let’s you specify a blog and a couple of parameters and bingo, an elegant flash-based application is generated.
The cool thing is the embed code options available required to ensure the widgets actually work on the destination Website. In this instance, I needed code to work on MySpace (MySpace is notoriously fickle regarding embedding widgets and other scripts). The option was available and works perfectly.
